Ingredients
- 2 egg yolk, hard boiled
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 24 candied cherries, red and greed
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Force egg yolks through coarse sieve; add salt.
- Cream butter; add sugar and flavoring; beat until light. Add egg yolks and flour; mix well.
- Force dough through a crown design on a cookie press, or drop by teaspoonful onto cookie sheets. Decorate crowns with "jewels" of candied cherries.
- Bake in moderate oven, 375 degrees, for 7 to 10 minutes.
