Ann's Butter Balls

These are good butter balls.
I would suggest, maybe using 4 teaspoons vanilla instead of 1 tablespoon, based on similar recipes found on line.
Ingredients
- 4 1/2 cups sifted flour
- 1 cup sifted confectioner's sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 pound sweet butter
Directions
- Cream powdered sugar, butter and vanilla.
- Stir in flour. Mix until dough is smooth. Chill dough.
- Roll dough, a teaspoonful at a time, into balls.
- Bake on cookie sheet in 325 degree oven for 20 - 25 minutes.
- While cookies are warm, roll in powdered sugar.
Variation: Add 2 cups chopped walnuts or filberts to the liquid ingredients prior to adding the flour.
