Dutch Caraway Cookies

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- lemon rind
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
Directions
- Sift flour; measure. Sift again with baking powder and salt. Grate rind of lemon.
- Work butter or margarine until light. Gradually add sugar, creaming until fluffy.
- Beat in egg. Stir in flour, caraway seeds and lemon rind. Mix well; chill 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F or moderate.
- Put dough through cookie press onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 12 minutes. Decorate with colored confectioners' frosting.
