Lucy's Crown Cake

Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted cake flour
- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- Combine flour, sugar and salt.
- Add vegetable oil and 2/3 cup milk.
- Blend by hand or with mixer for 2 minutes.
- Stir in baking powder, 1/2 cup milk, eggs and vanilla.
- Bake at 375F until done.
