Ingredients
- 2/3 cup butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup finely ground nuts
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup sifted flour (1-1/2)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 12 ounces semisweet chocolate pieces
Directions
- Cream butter; add sugar; beat until light.
- Add nuts, vanilla, flour, and salt. (Mixture will be dry,)
- Roll to 1/8-inch thickness between two sheets of waxed paper. Cut with floured, small, fancy cookie cutter.
- Bake on cookie sheets in hot oven, 400 degrees, for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove to wire racks, and cool.
- Melt chocolate over hot water. Put cookies together with chocolate, sandwich fashion. Spread tops with chocolate.
