Favorite Pound Cake

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3 cups sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3/4 teaspoon lemon extract
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- Beat butter and cream cheese at medium speed with an
electric mixer for approximately 2 minutes ur until soft
and creamy. - Gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed 5 to 7 minutes.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating just until the yellow disappears.
- Combine flour and soda, gradually add to creamed mixture.
Mix at lowest speed just until blended after each
addition. - Stir in vanilla and lemon extracts.
- Spoon batter into pan. Bake at 325 °F for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until done. Cool for 10 minutes.
