Butter Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 pound unsalted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons lemon extract
- 1 teaspoon sour cream (original recipe stated "a little")
- 6 egg yolks
- 6 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla and sour cream, blend well.
- Add egg yolks one at a time, continue to blend.
- Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the cream mixture. Mix after each addition until dough is smooth.
- Use a cookie press to form cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet or roll to 1/8 inch thick and cut with cookie cutters.
- Bake in a 400 degree oven for 5 minutes or until edges are delicately brown.
