Maggie's Own Spiced Nuts

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon chipotle pepper
- 1 pinch dry mustard
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 pound peanuts, dry-roasted
- 2 egg whites
- 2 tablespoons water
Directions
- Preheat over to 250.
- Combine all dry ingredients in a larg bowl.
- Beat together the egg whites and water until foamy.
- Add nuts to the froth and stir to cover all of the nuts.
- Spoon the nuts into the spice mixture, cover and shake to coat all of the nuts.
- Spread onto a baking pan and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- If making more than one batch, alternate the pans between the top and bottom racks each time you take them out to stir.
