Norwegian Christmas Cake

Ingredients
- 1/2 pound butter or margarine (1 cup)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 raw egg yolks
- 2 hard boiled egg yolks (rubbed through a sieve)
- 3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
Directions
- Mix in order, butter, sugar, raw yolks, cooked yolks, and flour. Knead dough thoroughly.
- Break off small pieces of the dough and roll between palms of the hand into strips about 1/4" thick and 5" long.
- Cross ends and press lightly.
- Glaze with slightly beaten egg white and sprinkle with coarsely crushed lump sugar. Bake at 325 F on ungreased cookie sheet from 10 to 15 minutes.
