Rum Cake

Ingredients
Cake
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup light rum
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 15 1/4 ounces butter flavored cake mix
- 3 1/4 ounces instant vanilla pudding and pie filling
Glaze
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup rum
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup water
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease and flour a bunt pan.
- Place the nuts in the bottom of the pan.
- Beat together eggs, rum, water and vegetable oil until mixed together.
- Add in the cake mix and pudding. Mix together for 2 minutes.
- Pour misture into the prepared bunt pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until done.
- Prepare the glaze just before the cake come out of the oven.
- Mix and boil glaze ingredients for 2 to 3 minutes.
Immediately after the cake is removed from the oven and still in the pan, pour on the glaze. Allow to cool then remove from the pan.
